Who we are:

Who we are:

We are the young Burmese academics who are dedicated to strengthening the civil society of Burma. We are independent individuals not affiliating to any governments or organizations. We develop this web blog because we are aware that it is necessary to have such a web blog for monitoring the ever-growing humanitarian issues in our country.

What we believe:

We believe that human rights is an integral part in addressing humanitarian issues in a society and it is much more important in Burma than in any other places because Burma has an extensive record of human rights violations in the world.

Our Mission

Burma Humanitarian Watch (BHW) wants to see Burma to be peaceful, stable and prosperous as seen in a democracy. We also want to see our people to be free from fear and insecurity and to live in dignity.

Our Objectives

Burma Humanitarian Watch (BHW) intends to inform Burmese and international community on the humanitarian situation of the country by collecting news and information of the humanitarian works in Burma through extensive and reliable sources. BHW also intends to observe what the United Nations agencies and international non-governmental organizations as well as local civil society organizations have been doing to provide humanitarian assistance for our people in need.
